Audio Log

I have gotten so tired of writing and rewriting and editing and rewriting and editing new posts for them to still not read right to me, that I decided to get into audio blogging - or podcasting. I have always been told that I have a voice for radio and I feel like my public speaking could use a lot of work so this seemed like a good opportunity to practice those skills. I wanted to talk about a few things going on in Atlanta - some noted nationally in the news and some not, but all applicable to any urban dweller - and as time went by the subjects kept piling up, so this is my finally getting the ideas out there.

What I ended up with was not quite what I expected. First of all, it took a LONG time to get it recorded as I kept screwing up. Secondly, I'm not used to talking uninterrupted for such long periods of time so there are lots of ahhhhs and uhhhhhs. Lastly, I wasn't as organized as I would like to be and it shows via a bit of redundancy, this was also due to multiple takes of some areas as well.

This site is dedicated to one thing, the evolution of Rashid Zaakir Muhammad, and this recording is just another step in that process. Hopefully I'll be able to look back on this and smile the same way I do when I look back on my first "short film." (incidently, there is much progress being made on my next film and I hope to have it done by the end of the year)

I have a long way to go. My voice is soooo monotone, but it's probably because I haven't been behind a microphone of any sort in years and it looks like my ability to express has deteriorated. I also pause to often and for too long.

I'll stop hedging now, here is the file:
