I just replaced my approximately five year old Thinkpad T-30 with a
Thinkpad X61 Tablet. I was seriously tempted to get an Apple laptop as I have an ancient G4 portable lying around that could use an update, so I went to my local Apple retailer to check one out. After playing around with a MacBook Pro, I just couldn't justify it. It's not until I actually touch another laptop and my hands recoil in horror at those kludgy trackpads that I realize how much of a functional downgrade any laptop is from a ThinkPad. I will give Apple credit for implementing a backlit keyboard though.
